(fx) Total contract value

Use case

Software sales teams can use the Formula column to calculate the value of each subscription, renewal, or expansion deal directly inside the Filter Results gadget.

Explanation of this use case

Every work item represents a sales activity. The team uses the following Jira system fields:

• Number of licenses – A number field to capture total number of sold licenses

• Price per license – A number field to track single license amount for each sales activity

• Contract duration – Shows for how much time the license has been purchased

Formula

Total contract value = {Number of licenses} * {Price per license} * {Contract duration}
